Jewelry ... if You're reading this, you're probably like Myself -and countless Others- who have a love for jewelry. Itβs sometimes attached to cherished memories from when we were a young child. Often, itβs the memory of a Loved One who wore a particular style of jewelry that resonates most strongly in our minds -and in our hearts. β€οΈ
Whether that person wore pearls, leather, diamonds, or macrame, their particular jewelry choices can remind Us of those Loved Ones throughout all of our lives. Thankfully, We're all different, and thankfully, there are jewelry styles to suit those differing preferences. π
I remember my beautiful Grandma Z wearing strands of colorful beads when I was very young. And those mesmerizing earrings β¦ the ones with sparkling rhinestones or intricate cloisonnΓ© designs - that is my first memory of loving jewelry. My Mom also loved jewelry, but her tastes were toward a more subdued and classic style, with a simple strand of pearls being her go-to. Adding a pair of drop earrings completed the classic look Iβll forever remember as being her favorite. I suppose I take more after Momβs Mom β¦ Grandma Z, because while I do love the simplicity and elegance of pearls and such, I sure do love me some shiny baubles ... and rhinestones are always welcomed. π Β
Some times, One's own personal experience with wearing jewelry is what brings a lifelong infatuation. Memories of wearing multi-colored pop beads β¦ you know, the ones that popped loudly when you pulled them apart [POP!!]Β Then when they were snapped back together that created yet another loud POP!! π Bless Our Parentβs hearts for enduring those loud POP sounds over and over β¦ [ENTER EYE ROLLS HERE] π₯Ή
Maybe it was a pretty Princess jewelry set received as a gift that first brought the love of jewelry to the heartβ¦ Or perhaps something as simple as a candy necklace on an elastic string that was bought from the grocery store that started the whole thing. No matter what the jewelry happened to be -as a Princess child- you were wearing the finest of all the jewelry in the land. Yes, you were. π
Jewelry is part of many memories in my life, and most all of those things mentioned in the previous paragraphs are my own experiences -and I remain as ever, a fan of beautiful jewelry.Β
[Thanks, Mom and thanks, Grandma Z] ππΒ Β
Β I'd love to hear how Your love of jewelry was sparked.Β π
